We are thrilled to announce the official launch of JiaYou Integrated Services for Seniors & Caregivers, a first-of-its-kind platform in Singapore. In a landmark collaboration spearheaded by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), Montfort Care, as the lead agency, has joined forces with Fei Yue Community Services and Yong-en Care Centre to provide comprehensive support for seniors and caregivers. This innovative partnership aims to empower older adults to embrace life with joy and hope while offering assistance to those who care for them.

JiaYou offers an extensive array of integrated services tailored to meet the diverse needs of seniors and caregivers, from dementia and mental health support to home care, frailty care, end-of-life care, employment support, and more. The centre also provides support groups and training workshops to equip caregivers with the essential skills and knowledge to navigate the challenges of caregiving.
The launch event kicked off with a lively performance by seniors from Yong-en Care Centre, setting a vibrant tone for the day. We were honoured by the presence of Guest of Honour Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information and Minister-in-charge of Smart Nation and Cybersecurity, and we’re thankful for her gracing this milestone occasion.

One of the key highlights of the launch was the unveiling of the Hold Me Now exhibition. Created in collaboration with Drama Box and led by Cultural Medallion winner Mr. Kok Heng Leun, this immersive exhibition delves into the depths of care work, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore caregiving through innovative art and interactive experiences.
The showcase features an inventive reimagining of walking sticks by local artist anGie seah, crafted with 20 seniors from Montfort Care. Over the course of 10 weeks, anGie seah worked with seniors from Montfort Care to challenge the notion of walking sticks as a symbol of frailty, and instead transform the common mobility aid into a canvas of personal expression and creativity.
Additionally, attendees had the chance to explore Gym Tonic, a specialised gym located within JiaYou. This program promotes health and fitness for seniors at risk of frailty through a comprehensive approach that includes multi-modal physical exercise regimes, nutritional counselling, psychosocial and cognitive activities, and health monitoring.
The centre will also offer mental health services supported by Montfort Care. Housed within the counselling rooms section of JiaYou, these services are designed to support both seniors and caregivers, addressing the mental and emotional challenges that often accompany aging and caregiving.
