Han Yah Yee returns to social work practice in the newly established role of
Chief Social Worker, as Montfort Care strengthens enterprise leadership and professional practice.
Singapore, 16 October 2026. Montfort Care today announced the appointment of Ms Aileen Ng as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2026. She leads the social service agency as it advances its portfolio of Anti-Violence (Child Protection), Family Service, Mental Health, Caregiving and Eldercare services.
Han Yah Yee, who served as Chief Executive Officer from 1 October 2025, has returned to social work practice as Chief Social Worker. In this newly established role, she will strengthen professional practice, raise standards and enhance safeguards for clients and frontline colleagues.
The new structure brings enterprise accountability under Aileen’s leadership, with Yah Yee providing dedicated senior leadership for professional practice.
Seeing, creating, and acting on possibility
Aileen began her career in the social service sector as a consultant appointed by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) to implement sector-wide salary guidelines for social workers. She joined Montfort Care as a volunteer in 2012, led its rebranding from Marine Parade Family Service Centre and subsequently served on its Board of Directors for six years.
As Chief Strategy Officer from 2022, Aileen advanced the eldercare vision of Montfort Care founder Samuel Ng. She led the reimagining of active ageing centres and shaped the concept and brand of Goodlife Studio, a pioneering network of thematic studios that reframes ageing around purpose and longevity.
She was also instrumental in establishing Montfort Care as the anchor tenant for the NCSS-supported Senior & Caregiver Hub at Chinatown Point and Mental Wellness Hub at Shaw Tower.
“Economic progress can take a country only so far. As Singapore matures, the social dimension will determine whether we truly thrive as a society,” said Aileen Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Montfort Care.
“The needs people bring to us are becoming more complex, and they will not be met by any single agency, programme or funding model working alone. Our purpose of advancing human possibility asks us to look beyond the immediate problem, recognise the strengths and contribution individuals can make, and design better ways forward with our communities, partners and practitioners. My goal is to ensure Montfort Care brings the quality of practice, imagination and resolve needed to turn that possibility into real progress.”
Aileen’s first initiative as Chief Executive Officer is the MOVE Fund, a pool of resources that frontline social workers can draw on to help the people they serve straight away with small, practical needs that existing schemes do not cover. The idea came from social workers’ own experience: something small and urgent comes up that existing systems are not built to fund, and if left alone, grows into a bigger problem.
Enterprise leadership for a new chapter
“The next chapter for Montfort Care will be defined by clear enterprise leadership and strong professional practice,” said Mr Teo Hong Lim, Chairman of Montfort Care. “Aileen has helped shape the organisation’s strategy and brings a deep understanding of the relationships Montfort Care must sustain across the public, community and funding sectors. As Chief Social Worker, Yah Yee will provide the dedicated senior leadership that professional practice requires. The Board is confident that this structure gives Montfort Care the clarity, depth and capability to fulfil its mission and purpose.”
“Professional practice is central to the trust placed in Montfort Care. As Chief Social Worker, I will strengthen practice standards and safeguards, support frontline colleagues and deepen our response to complex needs across our services. Having worked closely with Aileen, I have seen her translate strategy into meaningful impact on the ground. I look forward to supporting her as she leads the organisation and brings our strategy to life,” said Han Yah Yee, Chief Social Worker of Montfort Care.

About Montfort Care
Montfort Care is a social service agency that works with individuals, families and communities to create new possibilities. Founded in 2000, we now employ more than 400 employees and operate from over 30 locations in Singapore across Anti-Violence, Family Service, Mental Health, Caregiving and Eldercare services.
Guided by our founding ethos, “Those whom the world rejects must move you the most”, we believe no life should be defined by its hardest circumstances. Behind every struggle is a person or family with dignity, strengths and possibilities yet to be realised. Our work begins by seeing what others may overlook and creating the conditions for people to reclaim agency, rebuild relationships and shape a different future.
