Samuel Ng, BBM founded Montfort Care 25 years ago and led the growth of Montfort Care to where it is today with 400 staff serving more than 30,000 clients in the community. Samuel will step down from his role as CEO, effective 30 September 2025.
Samuel or “Founder” as he is fondly known, shares this:
“It has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve as CEO of Montfort Care. I’m incredibly proud of what we have built together and the impact and difference we bring to the communities we serve.”
This leadership transition comes as no surprise but is well intended to empower new leaders to take the organisation forward. Ms Han Yah Yee, who is currently Chief Purpose Officer and who has worked with Samuel for 20 years will assume as the CEO (Designate) from April 2025 and fully assume as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on 1 October 2025.
Yah Yee who was nominated as Outstanding Social Worker in 2010 says of her appointment:
“I am deeply grateful to Samuel for his leadership in bringing Montfort Care to where we are today – serving our communities with heart and conviction. I am also very honoured to step into the role of CEO at Montfort Care. This is more than a professional milestone for me – it is a personal privilege to lead an organisation that has long inspired me through its unwavering commitment to those often left unheard or unseen.
I take on this new role with a strong sense of readiness to carry Montfort Care forward. Together with our team, partners and community, I look forward to our next 25 years of activating change and uplifting lives.”
Samuel leaves his CEO role but will remain as a Board of Director with Montfort Care. He will continue to advocate for its mission and purpose: “Those whom the world rejects must move you the most.”
The Montfort Care Board of Directors is grateful to Samuel for his vision and the legacy that he has created. Yah Yee will continue this legacy and lead the organisation to serve our clients and the community.
