Spotlighting Care for Caregivers via Book Sharing and Media Attention

Efforts to raise awareness on caring for caregivers continue as Founder | CEO of Montfort Care Mr Samuel Ng, BBM, continues with book sharing tours and interviews with the media, following the launch of his long-anticipated book, “Can I Hold You A While Longer?” on Monday 25 March.

The book was a detailing of Samuel’s challenges in caregiving for his mother with dementia, with the book launch event providing an immersive experience that spotlighted silver linings in the caregiving journey for the 100 community partners in attendance. Discussions about caregiving stress and struggles were held during author and Special Guest Minister Sun Xueling’s conversation.

Samuel has gone on to speak about his book and journey, as well as to advocate for caregivers on radio with Michelle Martin (MoneyFM), Stanley Leong and Cheryl Goh (CNA 938 “Work It”), as well as to be interviewed for a special feature in Straits Times Life (https://www.straitstimes.com/life/dementia-has-brought-me-back-to-my-mother-one-man-s-journey-from-runaway-son-to-caregiver).

He continues to go on book tours to promote his book and Montfort Care caregiving initiatives with a speaking engagement on 1 June with PAP Executive Women Committee. You may also invite him for book sharings by emailing hello@montfortcare.org.sg.

The book is currently being sold at Popular, Kinokuniya, Zshop, Amazon, Epigram Bookshop and Straits Times Press Books, as well as at Montfort Care front-facing centres to walk-ins.
