What does Gurmit Singh have in common with our seniors at Goodlife Makan? They’re all redefining what it means to age, by staying active, engaged with the community, and continuing to build meaningful connections.
CNA recently released a compelling two-part documentary series featuring Gurmit Singh as he reflects on the journey of ageing, just as he nears his 60th birthday. Through travels across Singapore, Japan, and India, Gurmit explores how ageing is experienced differently across Asia. As part of the series, he also created a short film, his own artistic interpretation of the themes, offering a personal and creative lens on what it truly means to grow older.

Born in 1965: Part 2. Montfort Care and Goodlife Makan are featured in this episode, at the 35:30 timestamp.
Gurmit Singh’s short film
As part of this, we also had the privilege of bringing our seniors to the special screening of Gurmit Singh’s first-ever short film, where he beautifully captures his personal journey of transformation as he approaches his 60th birthday in 2025.
The event was nothing short of inspiring, featuring an engaging Q&A session, a meet-and-greet with Gurmit himself, and even a lively Zumba session that had everyone moving. Our seniors were thrilled to meet Gurmit, eagerly snapping photos with him to cherish the moment. Check out what went down at the event below.
